Emma Watson’s designs for People Tree will be featured at the Fairwear 2010 fashion show on 25 February at Bristol Cathedral, UK. Better known as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, Watson’s “collection brings a youthful and inspiring edge to Fair Trade fashion,” said Fairwear 2010 organizers.

”I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with,” said the young British actress.

Last year, Watson collaborated with Fair Trade fashion pioneer People Tree to do a Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

Fairwear 2010

people_treeThe Fairwear Fashion Show 2010 is expected to be one of the sensational fashion events in the UK this year. And will be the biggest Fair Trade fashion show ever in the country.

The event will feature fashion products certified by Fairtrade and produced by WFTO producers. “All clothing companies on the catwalk at Fairwear 2010 will be members of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) or use Fairtrade certified cotton,” said the event organizers.

The 2010 event is bigger and better, announced Fairwear. There will be two shows, one in the afternoon and in the evening. “With the awesome backdrop of the Bristol Cathedral and London staging experts, True Staging creating the set, a fantastic event is guaranteed.”
