VerdeRocks are an inspiration. They have been designing eco-friendly and sustainable jewellery since 2004, before the term “Green” even existed.

Verde Rocks create accessories that are a representation of how they live their lives, by causing as little impact as possible. They began with a line of cuffs and bangles made from bamboo  harvested and manufactured inhouse and soon added bamboo necklaces and earrings that utilized elements of vintage brass and vintage Czech glass and Swarovski crystals.

VerdeRocks using “old stock”

The VerdeRocks line has evolved to include other sustainable designs made from new “old stock”, vintage and recycled components. Old stock means the components are new, un-used vintage pieces - stored away in warehouses and never circulated on the market. VerdeRocks have sourced these antique treasures and lovingly restored them to their original beauty, giving them a modern twist. Each time VerdeRocks approach designing a new piece, they attempt to utilize as many vintage, old stock, recycled and organic elements as possible. The remaining percentage is made from reliably-sourced Fair Trade materials and the most environmentally responsible methods to manufacture our line for a truly sustainable product that they can all feel good about.

What you will find in the VerdeRocks line is an eclectic mix of brass, copper, bronze, crystal, gold, silver, and steel alongside vintage crystals, recycled glass, semi-precious stones - and just about anything our treasure hunt for materials turns up. They also have a love affair with nature and all things organic, so you will find bamboo, tagua nuts, banana wood, shells made from industrial seafood processing byproducts, and other natural materials.

Good sound business practice

“Call it “Sustainable” - call it “Green” - we just call it good, sound business practices. If it is already above ground, we use it. Mother Earth is tired, and we see no reason for clear-cutting and strip-mining in the name of fashion”.
