EcoChic designs, simple yet stylish, luxurious and special employing traditional skills and primarily organic, natural and recycled materials with a contemporary twist.

EcoChic combines the best of young UK design talent and works exclusively with small producers who take pride in the quality of their workmanship and receive a true living wage in return, often using traditional skills and values business as a model for social change.

Supporters of fair trade in the developing world and keenly aware of the need to address the root causes of poverty through trade not aid. EcoChic is also a pioneer of ethical business in the UK, partnering with skilled artisans who are dedicated to doing business differently, with transparency and a social purpose beyond profit that respects people and planet and sharing their story with passion in our EcoChic Magazine.

Beautiful beginnings….

Since 2007, EcoChic has trawled the globe to create this striking collection of gifts, accessories and homewares, while assessing its supply chain at every stage with accredited suppliers and an in-house assessment model based on the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) and Ethical Trading Initiative standards. EcoChic is proud to share the stories of people behind the products.

Founder of EcoChic Collection, Deborah Miarkowska has her own story to tell. Torn between her love of fashion and her determination to make a difference, she turned down a place at the London School of Fashion to pursue her career as a Nurse and International Public Health Lecturer.

Years later, Deborah had a Damascus moment on holiday in Poland. A dainty felt bag on a street market caught her eye. As she made her purchase, the stallholder said “You’ve changed a child’s life today”, and explained how the fair trade practices behind his products gave people in Nepal a living wage for themselves and for their community and hope for the future.

A seed was planted. Out of the realisation that beautiful things and poverty reduction and environmental protection really could go together, EcoChic was born.

A beautiful future …..

Deborah and her husband Ryszard, a GP, have now taken these aims a step further by establishing the EcoChic Foundation. By buying one of the Foundations Gifts For Life, you can help fund desperately needed relief work. EcoChic has also teamed up with Trees For Good to offer customers the chance to plant EcoChic trees in Borneo to offset C02.
